legends of la cienega just wrapped in los angeles. legends is annual design event that takes place on la cienega blvd. so many people come out for it- designers, editors, bloggers and people who just love design. there are parties, panels and book signings, but the big event is the window displays that designers do in all the windows in the street. big names do it and it’s fun to see everyones interpretation of the theme at hand. this years theme was “today’s vision, tomorrows home.”
Paloma took things that she loves and frequently uses and interpreted them in a modern way. She used a beautiful, hand-painted chinoiserie wallpaper by Gracie, but did it in black and white to make it feel fresh and modern. She had a custom skirted console made by The CEH with Kravet fabric and Brunschwig et Fils trim. She used a pair of Prussian Blue lamps by Christopher Spitzmiller and then had the most beautiful, custom ikat lampshades made using a Kravet fabric. A pair of distressed pedestals are topped with custom tole orchids by Tommy Mitchell.
Paloma’s window is wonderful and beautiful and as you all know i love timeless design, therefore anything that’s glamorous and enduring has my vote.
congrats paloma, your window shines bright on la cienega.
