sarah bartholomew is a bright star in the design world, she has impeccable taste and i’m very fortunate to call her my friend. Sarah lives in nashville and a home she recently designed just made the cover of traditional home. take a tour here.
the home is in the beautiful neighborhood of belle meade right in the heart of nashville. it’s a house i always notice when i drive around the neighborhood. i’ve been in the house and i know the family that lives there. they are as wonderful as the house.
the house is full of life. it’s a happy house. i just love all the color, all the fabrics, all the layers and all the details. the palette of yellow, robins egg, green and pink flows throughout the house. the palette is grounded by traditional antiques, wicker and lots of stark white.
the house has a beautiful energy. of course it’s because of the wonderful decorating, the curation of antiques and the georgian revival architecture, but i think it mostly has to do with the special person who designed it and the special family that lives there. i think it’s something special.
