i know a lot of people are ready for winter to be over. the east coast has had a cold spell this week. we are all dreaming of summer, sunshine, longer days and beautiful gardens.

if you ask my partner michael who he thinks is the most beautiful woman ever, he always says candice bergen. I like her because i think she has great style and i have a feeling she’s pretty funny. it was fun to see her east hampton gardens in a recent architectural digest.

candice shares the gardens with her daughter chloe malle. candy and her husband marshall live in the main house and chloe and her husband in the guest house. the gardens that connect their worlds were designed by edmund hollander. read about the gardens and their summer home here.

i’m sure it’s not easy to share a property with family, but it might be a lot easier if you have gardens that connect you that look like this.

this two acre family estate photographed by oberto gili gives a whole new meaning to family roots.
