no one does pretty quite like my friend lee ann thornton, and in the age of too many trends, things being over designed, and not many references to the past, lee ann’s work is refreshing and so beautiful.

i love this recent project of her’s in the new house beautiful photographed by francesco lagnese. the project is in greenwich. i think the reason lee ann’s take on design is so beautiful is that it has a it has references to the east coast, the south and the west coast. there’s always so much texture and layers mixed with romantic fabrics, ikats and batiks.

i also love lee ann’s take on color, she loves blue and white as much as i do, but infuses it always with other colors and textures. this time it’s blue and white playing with greens, magenta, lilacs and berries.

i celebrate lee ann and i’m so happy for all of us, sometimes all we really need is to be inspired by pretty things. thank you lee ann for a much needed dose of tradition, taste, elegance, and for always taking us to a pretty place!
