this past weekend i went to see the new movie home again. it was wonderful, the perfect feel good movie we all need right now. i embarrassingly laughed out loud too many times, and i even cried a little too. it’s great- go see it!
home again was written and directed by first time director hallie meyers shyer. hallie is a friend, and the daughter of nancy meyers. i’m so proud of her. the star of the movie is reese witherspoon. i work with all of these ladies so it was very, very special to see this movie, i love all of them so much.
reese plays an interior decorator who is recently separated from her husband. she moves from nyc back to her family home in l.a. i won’t tell you much more because i don’t want to spoil it….
of course the movie sets are fantastic…how could they not be when the meyers ladies are involved. one kings lane just featured them/ see here. the home reese’s character lives in is california casual with lot’s of bohemian influences- i love all the batiks, the stripes, the slipcovers, the wicker, and all of the layers….i even love all the pink.
i helped out a little bit with the movie with some inspiration and if you look closely you might just see the beautiful book a few times.
“home again” is just like going home, and as we all know, there’s nothing quite like home.
