We are living in crazy times, i can’t even watch the news anymore. so if you are like me you have to find an escape and a sense of calm in beautiful places and things. time and time again i come back to the same homes for inspiration….i guess when you like them, you are always going to like them and to be honest there aren’t too many things that come around that inspire me.
one of my favorite homes forever and ever is bunny williams and john rosselli’s la colina in punta cana. i have blogged about this house more than i can count and it’s been published more than i can count. just recently it was in architetcural digest/ see here. chloe malle visited bunny and john for the story.
michael and i have spent a lot of time at la colina with bunny and john. it’s such a special place. if you can imagine, it’s more beautiful in person. it’s also very inviting, comfortable, and there is a ease about it all. everything about it feels real, it feels like a home and it’s filled with a lot of love.
i love that these pictures reflect the atmosphere of la colina. it was so great to see bob, marco and blanco running around. these dogs are all rescues that bunny and john took in over the years. i also love the picture of all the dogs in bed with bunny and i tell you that’s just how it is.
as you can see, it’s not only a beautiful house, it’s a a house full of love….and right now all we need is love.
