Swan Ball 2017

this past weekend we had a ball in nashville. the swan ball is a white tie event that is held each year to benefit cheekwood. i’ve gone a few times but this year was special because sarah bartholomew and i were asked to be the creative chairs.

for the decor we were inspired by the cheekwood gardens and wanted to bring the beauty and elegance of the gardens inside. we tented the space in blue and white stripes, lined the walls with treillage, adorned the spaces with hand painted gracie studio wallpaper, filled the rooms with blue and white, potted boxwoods, and garden flowers from the tulip tree….it was beautiful (my beautiful book even made an appearance).

what was even more beautiful was that i had a few friends that were able to come, i even dressed jenn scully in custom MDS Stripes Collection. the evening was absolutely beyond perfect, but most importantly it was fun- we all had a ball!

thank you to jody hull and amy liz reddick, the chairs for including us, to carolina herrera for being there to accept the swan award, thank you julie for your generous hospitality, the tulip tree for the glorious flowers, ainsworth noah for the blue and white, gracie studio for the hand painted designs, and most importantly, thank you cheekwood for always inspiring us.
