you know how much i love a big white house. doesn’t really matter where it is, i’ll take it. in love with india hicks and david flint woods home in the english country side that’s featured in the new architectural digest.

david and india have mostly raised their kids in the bahamas (take a tour of their harbor island home here), but went back and forth for years visiting india’s family in england. finally they decided to build their own place near her mothers (sounds like 7 grand children visiting their grandmother might have been a little much).

india and david built a white stucco house that’s a cross between a danish farmhouse and a georgian rectory. the results are like a merchant ivory film, what’s not to like?!

beyond the house itself and of course the allure of it being white, i was quite taken with how photographer miguel flores- vianna captured the family. miguel captured exactly what a home should be…a place that is fun and full of life, it also helps that it’s big and white.
