the met gala is the biggest fashion night of the year. i was wondering what everyone would show up in tonight considering comme des garcons avant garde japanese designer rei kawakubo was being honored with the exhibition rei kawakubo/comme des garcons: art of the in-between.  there were some theatrics of course, but all in all everyone looked really beautiful and gala appropriate.

what i was really taken with was the decorations inside. just look at all the color- the blues, the reds and the pinks. in honor of rei kawakubo and her japanese heritage all guest were greeted with sake and a pair chopstick. these beautiful touches mixed with all the blue and white gives us the story of the night….and  did you notice the color of the carpet outside? it’s cobalt! i told you cobalt was cool!

thought it would be fun to mix in my picks for best dressed in with “the colors of the met!” enjoy!
