did you know calvin klein had couture? well, it does now.

raf simons, most recently at dior, has taken over calvin klein. he’s introducing “calvin klein by appointment“, a couture expression for the all-american sportswear house that officially launches april 1st. i’m looking forward to it because no one knows couture like raf.

calvin klein introduced the new collection a few weeks ago with a social media blitz. the series of photographs announcing the news showcased 15 women that reflect the variety of american women wearing trends of the 20’s through today. the launch was rolled out to coincide with the recent women’s marches around the world.

yes, it’s a statement, a statement about american fashion and about american women. i’m pretty excited that couture is coming to america- it’s about time!
