i’m thrilled that my first MDS interview of 2016 is with victoria hagan.

i have been a fan of victoria’s for a very, very long time. it seems like with every project or every mood board i create her work seems to always be a great source of inspiration….i always come back to it. it’s like a dear friend. there is just something about it. besides the fact that it defines timeless, it’s serene, approachable and beautiful.

i think it’s about the mix. she really understands the relationship of furnishings and things. she has a great sense of scale. her furniture arrangements are interesting and functional. the spaces are innovative, yet simple, and of course i love when she does blue and white. her blue and white rooms are iconic.

i spoke with victoria last week. it was really nice to talk to her about her work and what’s important to her. she said her greatest source of inspiration is nature, and the views from the homes she creates. her greatest joy is making people happy. we talked a lot about the process of interior design. i love when she said, “if you want something done, ask an interior designer.” so true. and i said to myself, “if you want a home that is timeless and beautiful, ask victoria hagan.”

i really enjoyed this interview. i know you will too.
