i’m sure all of you are out shopping today, isn’t that what everyone does the day after thanksgiving? not me, i’m reading, napping, sending notes to friends…but if i was on the east coast, i would drive out to new preston, connecticut, and shop at michael de perno and andrew fry’s new store, plain goods shop.

i’ve known michael for years, he’s a designer, an antique dealer, and has had several great stores in the past, both in nyc and in L.a. he’s gone back and forth from coast to coast, but is now settled back into connecticut. michael has impeccable taste, i’m so excited he has opened up plain goods shop with his partner andrew. the store is a casual and chic emporium of antiques, vintage finds, furnishings, textiles, clothing and more….

..if you are wanting to be inspired, find something old that is new to you, maybe a gift for someone or a gift for you, if you are near new preston, you must check out plain goods shop. i’m only going off of what i see, this looks like a great place to shop to me!

take a peek via plain goods shop instagram…they don’t have a website up yet, which is also kinda chic!
