i just got the new architectural digest and it’s so good. the issue features a home in houston designed by the brilliant bruce budd, truly i haven’t seen anything quite this beautiful in a long time. unfortunately architectural digest only likes us to post no more than four pictures, take a full tour here.
i have been a big fan of bruce and his work for quite some time, ever since i saw his own home in nyc featured on the pages of the world of interiors a few years ago/ take a look here. i always say if i had to hire a decorator to do my home besides myself, i would put all my trust in bruce- can’t you see why?
i love how he mixes and curates his rooms…he mixes antiques, modern art, english lanterns, natural fiber rugs, parsons tables, slipper chairs in with hits of blue and dashes of stripes, and oh how i love those white washed floors….. there is an elegance and ease to it that is rare, so refined, feels effortless and so chic!
bruce used to decorate for the great bunny mellon, the matriarch of taste and restraint. i know she would love this, especially the large potted topiaries, how could she not- it’s brilliant and beautiful!
