There is no one that does a beach house better than victoria hagan. every time they are inviting, look so comfortable and feel so relaxed…there is just something so easy about the way they are put together, they feel uncomplicated…
the spaces usually have white walls, and tend to be neutral with a touch of blue, prints are usually saved for pillows, bedding and window treatments… natural fiber rugs on the floors, deep sofas and comfortable chairs everywhere… bell jar lanterns, industrial pendants and simple sconces provide illumination..
she is so good at high and low and mixing old and new, even though the spaces are mostly traditional there are always modern accents….i think the key to to achieving these relaxed spaces is mix of textures- weathered wood, rattan, stone, zinc, iron….
i’m heading to hawaii today to relax on the beach for a week, i’m hoping the house we rented looks like these houses, after all it seems so easy, or at least it is for victoria hagan.
