a few months ago i came across an insatgram i loved. it was a picture of a sitting room with treillage, portuguese tiles, rattan furniture, blue and white porcelain, and you guessed it, blue and white stripes…

…i went down the rabbit hole and i got to know brazillian architect, interior designer and shop owner jorge elias. his work reminds me of another brazilian, sig bergamin, i think it has something to do with blue and white.

while researching and curating these pictures…i discovered the simple design formula that makes all of jorge’s rooms so gorgeous- other than blue and white, you have hits of yellow, i notice a lot of sunflowers, ikats, portuguese tiles, shells and chinoiserie…it’s not overly complicated or innovative, it’s just beautiful!
