i’ve never done a post on a house that isn’t quite complete, but carolyne roehm’s new home in charleston had me at hello.

the 1836 greek revival mansion called chisholm-alston is featured in the newest departures magazine. the house is a fantasy of jade green pagoda’s, blue canton porcelain, stripes, chinoiserie, and gilded consoles.

i’m mesmerized and intrigued…can’t wait to see the final outcome…hopefully there will be a book in the works or at least a magazine feature? like i said, soon as i saw this peek into carolyne’s new charleston home…well, it had me at hello! enjoy!
