you know the saying, “you always want what you can’t have”, well i’ve been feeling that lately….

we have been having this amazing weather in L.A. which i am thankful for and of course not complaining (actually i think the severity of weather all around is getting kinda scary), however, with all the women’s 2014 pre-fall collections and the men’s fall 2014 collections taking place i’m kinda back in the mood for layers, craving camels, grey’s, and checks.

this is what i call the fashion roller coaster. soon as you think you have moved on to the next season, like the holidays are over, spring can’t come soon enough, here comes the next season…. which in this case in fall 2014.

it seem like all the recent street fashion in Europe, along with the new fall collections, there is a return to classic timeless style. all these checks, camels, houndstooths, grey’s and plaids have me wanting to just layer up and hang out by a fire (i also think it has to do with yesterdays post on hubert de givenchy’s french chateau, that place has some amazing fireplaces), i know it sounds crazy, not easy to do in L.A., but i’m kinda in the mood for some fireside checks!

here’s the good news- you can probably find some of last years checks on sale, now everything is really on sale, at net-a-porter, mr. porter, and barney’s.
