i think for all of us in the design world the world of interiors has to be-all and the end-all magazine. every issue is filled with eclectic and layered interiors from all over the world. there is so much character in the interiors they feature, it seems as though “styling” doesn’t exist and that the photographer just walks in and shoots.
miles redd adorns the cover of the newest the world of interiors. the spotlight is on his federal townhouse in nolita, we get another peek into the world of miles. to be in the magazine must be a treat, to be on the cover has to be a thrill, possibly the thrill of a life time.
in the feature miles credits john fowler, syrie maugham, and david adler as his influences, along with oscar and annette, bunny and john. miles references hollywood as the inspiration for his home, any many ways, it’s probably the inspiration for his life. how fitting, there is no doubt that miles is a star, a star that will shine for a lifetime.
if the design world gave out something like an oscar, the cover of the world of interiors would be most certainly get the biggest prize. congratulations miles, well deserved!
