LIVING IN COLOR

as you all know from yesterdays post, tory burch’s book in color/ buy here, has me thinking a lot about color, and how we live with color.

yes, there’s the predictable way to use color, an all blue room, which btw i love, or a room with two colors and a print to pull it together, but what i think feels new is a room with a lot of color.

you might call it “color blocking” or “pops” of color, but i love when i room has a bright sofa, let’s say red, then an adjacent chair in robins egg blue, a bright piece of art in yellow (lets dream of a rothko), then on the other side of the room there might be a bit of bright pink and turquoise christopher spitzmiller lamp….throw in an ikat or a chintz to pull it all together and you have what i call “living in color!”

jeffrey bilhuber and miles redd are pros at this, billy baldwin was the master…it’s all about color, but it’s really about finding your own way to live with color.
