yesterday’s interview with Aerin lauder was all about inspiration- we found out what inspires her, however what’s so ironic is she’s the inspiration- inspiring all of us with her style, her beauty, her grace, her family, her intelligence, her new brand aerin and of course with her new book- beauty at home!

Aerin’s  new book, beauty at home, is fantastic! i’ve already read it front to back a few times. the book takes us on a journey to aerin’s homes in nyc and in southampton and to her work at aerin. the common theme is family and the legacy of aerin’s grandmother estée lauder.

as a child i remember those fabulous estée lauder advertising campaigns with model karen graham shot by victor skrebneski.  karen was always in a fabulous room or a garden wearing gorgeous gowns and jewelry. the campaigns were so beautiful and so genius because they weren’t just selling beauty products, they were selling a lifestyle. i wanted to live like that, and nothing has changed, believe me- i still do!

aerin is continuing this amazing legacy by now actually giving us the whole lifestyle- now we can now all live in those campaigns! of course there are the beauty products, but now there’s also beautiful furniture, gorgeous fabrics, amazing lighting and accessories for the home. she’s also giving us the shoes, jewelry and accessories. i’m almost certain clothes will be next!

aerin- your grandmother would be so proud! you are most certainly carrying on her amazing legacy.

i can’t thank you enough for participating in the mds interviews series- thank you for inspiring, thank you for bringing those beautiful campaigns to life and endless thanks for continuing to show us how to live life beautifully! lastly, i have to add that it’s so nice to know you love blue as much as i do!
