the MDS interview with Carolina Irving continues and so does my crush! Carolina is the first person i’ve featured in this designer series that isn’t necessarily an interior designer, even though she should be!
Carolina has unmatched style, she has something very special- if i had to define it i would call it classic effortless elegance with a french and bohemian twist! and as you can see when you have this much style you can design homes, textiles, fashion and accessories- when you have style like carolina you can do everything! might i add she is an art historian , and was an editor at elle decor, house & garden and vogue living.
when i think of carolina the first thing i think about is effortless beauty and style, then i think about her fabulous textiles, i love her fabrics! then of course i think of her infamous upper east side apartment that everyone loves. i also think of all the beautiful embroidered tunics, coats and caftans from her irving and fine collection, and now i think about she and lisa fine’s new irving and fine collection for lucky brand jeans– the coolest tunics, jackets, jeans and bags around. then there are all the pillows, mirrors, ottomans, lamps and lampshades from her irving and morrison home collection that i just discovered and i can’t stop thinking about!
see, it’s hard not to have a crush on her- i told you! and you can also see that when you have style like carolina’s you can do pretty much anything and everything!
Dearest Carolina- thank you for being apart of the designer series, in your case the style series, and thank you for sharing with us all of your favorite people, places and things.
