one of my favorite women, kelly klein, published her first book called pools 20 years ago, it was such a success and looks so perfect on any coffee table she decided to do a sequel called pools: reflections. i just got mine, i love it- it’s a sunday book club must!
the first book was more of a history on swimming pools, this time around the mood is more contemporary. there’s much more art, fashion, architecture and still life shots. the collection of photographs taken all over the world include works by bruce weber, mario sorrenti, jurgen teller, steven meisel and kelly herself. the first time around the focus was on pools, this time its about water- it’s modern and it’s sexy! if you want a sneak peek of the book check out a video by rizzoli new york here!
what better way to celebrate a new book than with a party! barney’s new york did the honor on both coasts, however, the bigger celebration is kelly will be donating the proceeds of her book sales to acria, a new york based foundation the help HIV patients live longer and heathier lives!
i love kelly klein, a great cause, a pool, any book that looks good on a coffee table and a party! welcome to a sunday book club first- a pool party! enjoy!
