carine roitfeld– editor, stylist, muse, street style icon- irreverent fashion star!

until the late 90’s, top fashion editors and image-makers like carine roitfeld stayed in the background. today, these fashion editors are the living image of fashion. stylist and editors now have Internet photographers hot on their heels capturing every look, every detail, every moment. carine was at the forefront of this fashion movement, and as a result has become this phenomenon’s international symbolic style icon.

carine has not only been the editor-in chief of vogue paris for 10 years (she left earlier this year and there is wide speculation and excitement on what’s next), she’s been the consultant, muse, stylist and inspiration for designers like tom ford while at gucci and yves saint laurent, and most recently, she has contributed to the success of young italian designer riccardo tisci at givenchy.

her personal style is sharp, edgy, sexy and assertive, along with all the style and glamour that is the epitome of french chic. tousled hair, smoky eyes, sunglasses, pencil skirts, neutrals, black, hits of white, strappy sexy high heels, luxurious furs, leather and minimal accessories make up her signature look.

true to herself and her instinctive style, she doesn’t follow trends and never looks “dressed” by a fashion label. she knows who she is- classic and sexy, good and bad, feminine and masculine. the perfect combination of what women want to be and what a man wants!

a little shocking, absolutely elegant, somewhat outrageous, ever so chic- carine roitfeld, irreverent– the star of fashion!
